Programs
At Calvary Christian Academy we offer the school wide program, Leadership Through Service. The fundamentals of this program are generated from the Biblical principle of servanthood found in Matthew 20:25-28.
But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.
But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister;
And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant:
Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.

We believe that the leaders of tomorrow must first know how to serve their fellow man. The founders of America also had this as their compass, in that they created government offices as positions of service, rather than positions of hierarchy.
Leadership Through Service (LTS) will be weaved through the curriculum in all the grades but will also be established through service projects for the younger students. Examples of this would be a 4th grader helping to read through a book with a 1st grader, a 5th grader assisting a 3rd grader with a math assignment.
The junior high students will create and organize service projects for the surrounding community. Learning how to produce practical solutions from difficult problems. This teaches them to be others-centered as Jesus instructs us in Philippians 2:3-5.
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.
Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
