Our History

Jeremy and Brooke moved to Iowa with their boys in the summer of 2009 to start Calvary Community Church ( read more here ), shortly thereafter in the fall they opened Calvary Christian Preschool and Daycare !

As hundreds of Preschoolers graduated from the program, they longed to offer an elementary school where they could continue teaching children about the Bible and help them to understand the Lord more deeply as they grew. With this same heart to reach the community, in 2014, Calvary launched Enduring Word Radio —a radio station which airs the teaching of the Word of God all day on 89.9 FM!

In January of 2023, the movement to start a Christian school that taught Biblical literacy, American patriotism, objective critical thinking and leadership through service was so strong that the church stepped out in faith and opened enrollment for Kindergarten! Shortly thereafter the Lord provided a new building opportunity with more classrooms and more square feet to grow. They purchased the new property on Northland in November of 2023.

During this time they began working with Iowa Association of Christian Schools and Christian Schools international gain accreditation and launch Calvary Christian Academy in the fall of 2024! The Lord has continued to guide them each step of the way!
