Olivia Castleberg
Kindergarten Teacher
Bio
Olivia Castleberg has been Calvary Christian Academy’s Kindergarten teacher since 2023, and was Calvary’s preschool teacher for two years prior. Olivia says that teaching at Calvary gives her the opportunity to turn every lesson towards Christ. She strives for the children to “understand that God is present in all things and that we should do everything for the glory of God.”
Early on, Olivia felt a calling to nurture and educate young minds, which led her to pursue a degree in Education and Child Life. She graduated in 2020 from Edgewood College in Madison, WI. The Lord then called her to trust Him and make the move from Wisconsin to Iowa where she now feels “incredibly blessed to be involved in the start of Calvary and to have seen how the Lord has brought everything together for this school.” Her primary goal for the children at Calvary is that they “walk with the Lord.”
Outside of the classroom, you’ll find Olivia adventuring outdoors, volunteering her time in international student ministry, and working towards a reading endorsement.
Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.

Brooke Higgins (Calvary Preschool Director)
Olivia is adamant about setting the kids up for success. Even when they doubt themselves, she is always there rooting them on. She is real and genuine with every word she says. She makes it known that God should be the one we make proud, not those around us.
